Captain America was a movie that I actually liked better as time went on. It's not the deepest or most complex film... But it really captures that era of comic books and Americana. Comics were very simple good guy beats bad guys affair, and the movie captures that simplisitc optimism. My main complaint is that the Red Skull comes off as rather generic. The first movie makes a very nice contrast with the second where Cap's simplistic worldview is challenged by a more subversive enemy. |
Don't understand the cap hate here! To me cap 1 was one of the best Disney/ marvel movies there is!
