Try playing with different characters. Plus mess around. See what buttons combo into each other. It's not nearly as hard to combo normals in this game than it was in 4. You'll get a feel of what connects. Light punch generally connects into a medium. I've noticed medium to hard punch can connect with half the characters. Once you figure out good starters, you can rotate through them and decide what's safe and isn't. Then finish with a special. As of now, other than that Rashid crazy 24 hit combo. It doesn't look like there's long combos in this game like Street Fighter 4 had. So chose your tactics. Against the AI I was normally chaining mediums. My friend got better at the game and those mediums left me open. So I've been trying out lights to mediums. You have to build a knowledge of starters then top with specials.
