The list I'd use would be:
Gears, BioShock, Portal. All early titles in that generation but pretty revolutionary. I'd add stuff like Mass Effect, Uncharted and Left 4 Dead as secondary examples, because the first titles themselves weren't amazing but they showed promise and laid the groundwork for incredible sequels.
And the answer is... well, there aren't any yet. Not really. Closest would be Splatoon, Sunset Overdrive and Bloodborne, but none of them are really on that level imo. Games that signal a sea-change, graphically, narratively, and gameplay-wise; that have spawned incredible new franchises? It's just not there. It's been a very disappointing generation.
