How do you know that? That's only what you think/believe but the reality once you play it might be something completely different. Personally, I'm going to be trying to uncover more of the lore, the languages and I'll be seeking out blueprints to improve my equipment.

That's only what I beleive based on what I've been watching. Despite all the neat little gizmos and upgrades you'll get (which is what I can get in Starbound besides temp control or reouting power to a laser), you're still trying to explore places and get to the centre of the universe, kill some aliens and creatures along with trading, the basics in games like Minecraft, Terraria and Starbound, all of which feature exploration, trading, tagging of their own varities, upgrades to your equipment, in Starbound you need different suits to be upgraded to withstand different atmospheres on different self generated planets, otherwise you're toast, same with the different self generated creatures that inhabit each planet, hell I can't even go on an asteroid or moon planet without a space suit in order to mine the type of element there to power my ship.

Languages would likely be a unique aspect to NMS but even then Starbound has different races that already speak in different tongue, all of which could be hostile or friendly, to trade or to kill. The more I learn about NMS, the more I see it as a game that's using pre existing ideas from other games but at the same time playing it safe and going with an artistic approach to how you explore and what your goals will be.

I made the point to someone (cannot remember who), but I am not expecting them to show off too much of the actual gameplay of the game because that is part of the exploration/discovery of the game. This is why they only gave press 30 mins playtime.. they are trying very hard to not ruin the game for everyone else, because as I said its about that discovery.
