I'm interested to see who among you thinks Star Fox Guard makes a difference in your interest in buying Star Fox Zero at retail.

To some of you, I'm sure you could care less.

But to me, I think Star Fox Guard looks to be a worthwhile game on its own.

Let's be honest with something: it's primarily a diversion to main gameplay of Star Fox Zero. But for those of you who've played recent games by PG, the diversions are some of the best parts in TW101 and Bayonetta 1&2. I'm pretty convinced the rail-shooting sections of these games are a big reason why PG got to develop Star Fox Zero (and the mechs in Bayo 2 are why PG got to do Transformers). So to know that the diversionary piece of Star Fox Zero got upgraded to entire release on its own is a big plus in my book

I hope it SFG a story mode. I love the idea of extending Star Fox universe in providing Slippy some extra backstory and adding this charming, handsome Grippy Toad fellow into the mix.

And while I'm looking forward to trying Star Fox Zero's local co-op, I do get the feeling that Guard will be the easier, more fun game to pull out with friends and family. The online portion has some promise towards giving this some real longevity too.

If Zero ends up being a bad game (which I don't think will happen btw) - I might just try to pick up Guard by itself.

Sure you *could* put this on the same disc as Star Fox Zero - but then you wouldn't get this awesome boxart

What do you think? Does Star Fox Guard's inclusion with Star Fox Zero make a difference to you like it does for me?

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
