Well Nintendo tried twice to take Star Fox in a more "mainstream direction" and both have at best cult appeal, with a lot of people finding them to be very...blah. So going back to the basics is a logical step. I think they should always have the classic Star Fox play as a major part or the focus. I think they should build on that with new mechanics and levels. I think the transformations are a cool addition and the stealth levels look like a cool change of pace. I actually think another good idea would be some on-foot missions that are kinda like Metal Gear, with Fox having to infiltrate or fight through, say, a station or ship to disable defended to allow the Corneria forces to attack. I think stuff like that would spice it up but still maintain the focus on Fox's identity. No need to sacrifice the identity of Star Fox. In fact, doing that can ruin a franchise. |
To a degree. they took out the core functon of the game and went into another direction. Thy shoudl have expanded on the core with the foot missions.
I like the idea of simalr to MEtal Gear where he does things to infiltrate. I think they could make fox more edgy character and nt so serious after all he is a fox so cunning sly etc.. be a differnt wa to build up a characers vs the traditional bad ass who is serious and mysterious lol.
