Well, the meat of the game is definitely its online multiplayer. I played most of the time with random people online and enjoyed it a lot as well. I just feel that part of the success comes from being partially a good party game. Obviously if the online multiplayer was bad, no amount of splitscreen or modes would get people to buy it but I still feel a few of them just bought it just to see what was all the fuss about just because they saw a few of their friends playing it.

Well yeah, split screen is a part of the game. Bottom line, a game like Rocket League succeeds for being the total package.

You're very negative in regard to this. We all try games because there is a "fuss." Frankly, thats how we often learn about notable games.

Dont understand why you see negativity.  I believe that part of the success comes for people trying out a game that otherwise wouldnt have tried just becausetheir friends were playing it.  Yes , I do believe not eveyone follow gameplay.  I am very aware of all the attribute the game has and yes, the game sold for multiple reason which doesnt make my opinion any less valid.  Dont need to over complicated yourselves for a simple opinion.
