What we need is:
- Treat border tresspassers as criminals. As a sovreign state, the US needs to punish anyone crossing the border illegally.That's exactly how US citizens or any foreign citizens are treated in Mexico. If all caught trespassers had everything confiscated from them, kept in some prison camp for about 3-t6 months and then sent back to Mexico, stripped down to their underwear, they'll be discouraged to try again.
- Punish all US citizens that employ illegal immigrants. It's illegal for a US person or company to hire illegals. There should be fines and prison time for those who disobey the law. There should be harsh penaltines for those who make false documents, as harsh as those imposed on those who make fake money.
- Repeal the laws that make the children of illegals US citizens. There is no logic in treating them as US citizens. Make it retroactive, 10 or 20 years back.
- Deport all illegals caught in the US, no matter for how long they've been here, confiscate all their assets and send them back to wherever they came from, stripped down to their underwear. If they refuse to say where they came from, send them to Antarctica or Liberia.
- Stop whining that, absent illegals, there won't be any more nannies for our kids (really? your kids have nannies), our lawns would be unmowed (I do mine and my kids help and I do my dishes too) and there would be a shortage of gang members and rapists (well, maybe they have a point there).
Almost all of the above, except for the auto-citizen stupid law are legal today. In facct, the Stimpson-Mazolli law which gave amnesty to most illegals in the country back in 1982 was supposed to introduce 'zero tolerance' to all new illegals and their employers but the non-amnesty half of it was never fully enformced because the US employers want cheap illegals in the country so that they can pay everyone less.
So, no need for a wall. Just keep in mind that the illegals in the country are here because it benefits 'the rich'. It's less expensive to pay some illegal next to nothing to harvest the the crops or chop dead cows into 'beef' then to introduce robots or pay US citizen humans a decent wage. The bleeding hearts' advocacy for looking the other way when in comes to illegals it results in a hellish life for most illegals and it benefits the rich and heartless who are taking advantage of this.
