Even so, the game already looks very stylistically different from the original, and the director has alluded to the fact that this would be a very different game. As for you believing is, I would never scoff a rumor started by a journalistic website as big as Destructoid. They are far more careful about starting rumors like this because they have far more to lose when they are wrong. That, on top of the fact that their two independent sources where saying the same things about this alleged game without collaborating on the information, makes it very difficult for me to disbelieve. Beyond good and evil hasnt a huge following and dedicated fans like Shenmue or Castlevania for example. It was criticley acclaimed by these journalist, not by gamers. The game just looks boring and so does look the main character, she looks like a kindergarten teacher.
If Nintendo really does it they will regret it soon.
