There are unofficial snes emulators for the ORIGINAL DS, so it is 100% not a question of power, there is no reason that these titles are locked to the NEW 3ds other than Nintendo saying "Give us your money buy a newer one." I used to respect Nintendo as a different kind of company that didn't resort to tactics like this just in the pursuit of money, but with the recent milking of amiibo's for everything it's worth and now Nintendo's games getting season passes at launch and locking content to their new model for NO good reason. I mean I'm not exactly that bothered that I can't get snes virtual console games on my 3ds but the changes I'm seeing in Nintendo recently just leave a sour taste in my mouth. At least I finally got past chapter 5 of Fire Emblem Awakening without half my party being murdered. |
the even funnier thing is, if nx will really be released 2016 and the rumors are right, the new 3ds will most likely be dead in 9 month.
