That's completely wrong and untrue. Did you ever bother to look up the rape statistics for Japan and compare it to the rest of the world? Japan is actually one of of the safest countries for women to live in. Hentai comes from Japan and it doesn't drive anyone to sexually assualt anyone or act out any of the hentai. If that nonsense that "you become what you watch" was the case, video gamers would be violent as hell and acting like the world is their GTA playground.

Frankly, It's just a bunch of bullshit that's not backed by any real tangible proof.

What do you mean "did I bother to look them up" lmao I posted them. Comparing them to the rest of the world is not part of this argument.

What would comparing them to the rest of the world prove? Does it matter if it is one of the safest countries in the world for women to live in? Of course not that is not what we are arguing. I have provided statistics that could suggest a correlation between the viewing of sexually violent materials and the perpetuation of sexual crimes. The rape rate in Japan did increase. But I suppose you want me to compare it to - oh I don't know the rape capital of Africa - to prove your point. And then you'll be all "LOL they don't have internet in AFrica therefore Hentai is safe". Good for you.

Bullshit that isn't backed by tangible proof? I don't understand this accusation. The man who posts no logical counter-argument and whom has nothing concrete to back his claim up is calling my argument bullshit? Damn son color me rekt. It's kinda disappointing that you are claiming I am bullshit, completely wrong and untrue from your situation.

No, you didn't. You posted flawed info which is about the correlation between viewing violent or sexual violent material and how it influences people's behavior. Which is all wrong.

If that were true then Japan would be a very violent place in general and the sex crimes there would be on a level that would get world wide attention considering what's in some genres of hentai. For example, rape is a popular genre of hentai but it's all fictional and everyone understands that. It does not influence the real world except in situations like this. As controversial as it is and messed as it is real life, rape hentai is harmless in and of itself.

Rape at the national level, number of police-recorded offenses.

Rate per 100,000 people (from 2006 to 2010, most recent stats I could find. Comparing US to Japan)

United States:

2006: 31.5

2007: 30.6

2008: 29.8

2009: 29.0

2010: 27.3

Japan:

2006: 1.5

2007: 1.4

2008: 1.3

2009: 1.1

2010: 1.0

The reason why I posted that is to show that a country like Japan that allows something like rape hentai, it's one of the least likely places in the world that a woman or person will be raped. Hmm, why did you i would bring up africa? I guess you thought I would bring it up because of it's reputaton on this subject. The US is a better comparsion here. It's a first amongst equals of first world countries. *rolls eyes

There's absolutely no connection between actual sexual violence or violence in general and viewing materials with that stuff in it. I'm not saying your post was bullshit or your arguement but the info you quoted was which made your arguement flawed. That info was most likely collected with an agenda or with preconceived assumptions already set in stone. "Watching violent tv shows will make a person more violent." Can you actually believe that 100%? Is there any case where a person who read rape hentai actually started raping people because of it?
