I have to agree with Aonuma. I really dislike the look of Wind Waker, but I dislike the game for other reasons too, such as its lack of challenge. After playing and beating the game, I understood what Nintendo was doing: they were aiming for the <10 yr old market in the same way Star Wars Episode 1 was. They were trying to introduce Zelda to a new generation of gamers.

Cell shading has it's place, as I didn't find Skyward Sword as obnoxious with it (plus Skyward Sword was a lot more thorough and challenging of a game with some excellent gameplay design).

I'm on the fence of getting TPHD, because I already played and beat the game, and I have other unfinished games to beat yet. But maybe before long, I'll get it. It definitely feels like the true successor to Ocarina of Time to me.
