I hear ya, but I'd prefer Nintendo get out of the home console arena.

Nintendo is great at software but they encourage the competition to be better. Xbox and Playstation are going at it and making this gen interesting. Meanwhile Nintendo is making their usual games and pusing plastic toys. I have a Wii U but its just a box I go to for the latest Mario games and some other random things.

Nintendo would probably benefit from going 3rd party in a great way. Sega has done great as a multiplat developer when they aren't making shit.

I can't see Nintendo leaving hardware, plus they have the most famous line of franchises like Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, etc.

Whereas Microsoft only has one or two really big ips with halo and gears and those could easily be moved to PC.

So it honestly wouldn't be that big a deal to lose Microsoft consoles. Plus Microsoft knows PC, that's their roots and I think they should embrace it more. Let Sony and Nintendo fight over the console space I say while they focus on the huge PC market.

Since this goes against MS's plans of having a MS branded piece of plastic in every living room in every home in every country on the whole planet, I don't think it's in their best interests to do it. If anything, they will create an hybrid console/PC/top set box/one in all home console machine that will be relatively affordable and desirable enough to be bought with the same abandon as one would buy a router...

That's their plan at least...
