The reason breeding is the way it is not for believability or tedium, but for promoting trade. For example my female Serperior with Contrary perfect IVs and a bunch of egg moves took a ton of time and effort to obtain, thus giving it a lot of value. Obviously she wouldn't be quite as tradeable if everyone could easily get one just like it. They can make breeding slighty easier as they've always done each new gen, but what they really need to do is improve the GTS. As it is you can only hope the offerer isn't lying about it's moves, ability, IVs, or if you're making the offer that the trader will fully give you what you asked for. Language barrier makes these sorts of trades impossible with anyone who speaks a language you don't. A simple fix is showing more details about the Pokemon up for trade including IVs and letting us be more specific with what we're requesting, again including IVs. This would make getting those ideal pokes easier without devaluing them.
