Some people here seem to forget the long absence of the Metroid series between Super Metroid and Metroid Prime. It was 8 years. Nintendo's excuse was that they weren't sure what to do with the series on the N64. Even Metroid Prime on the GameCube was a monumental struggle. I would like to see a new Metroid game as much as anyone else but I would rather see Nintendo make the right game rather than simply appealing to the demand of the fans.
