Look at the youtube like Vs dislike ratio, like 140 to 1400. Most comments on youtube like: "You know that happy feeling you get when you finally see one of your favorite franchises making an epic comeback in an all new game?? This isn't that feeling." |
AR for Traditional gaming probably not something any real developer wants to do but AR as a gaming device can be pretty exciting. Depending on the device, I wonder how hard it would be to create something like a Rebels vs Stormtrooper gamer where now you can see the laser rifle fire, throw a nerf grenade and see the explosion. Pull out some type of Sword or Bo and see the crackling of energy on the weapons ect.
Battlechess would also be something I probably would make myself. ANy CCG card game where each character and their is a hologram. I believe there is a ton of games that can be done with AR and done very well, its just that MS isn't doing anything to show those types of games just yet because Hololens at this point in time isn't really marketed as a gaming device.
