Nintendo either has to launch at equal price and same/better specs, lower price at same/slightly worse (XB1 level) specs or higher price and vastly more powerful to stand a chance.

Yep, if 2016 and 2017 are both around 20m sold years, I could see the PS4 being around 75m units sold by the end of 2017.
And priced at a 249$ for slim model. A 300$ NX barely faster than a PS4 wont give it any huge advantages.
Same, I think the NX is a home console and its launching this year.
The sooner the NX is out the better for nintendo.
