Is there a point to support two consoles anymore for any first-party company?

I'm sure most Nintendo games would work on both devices. The problem would be 3rd parties. Per example, I'm sure Square Enix would love the NX handheld to run FFXV, FFVIIR or DQXI. A Nintendo handheld that could play big home console JRPGs, that kind of handheld would be a dream machine for any big japanese publisher.

How expensive do you think that would be though?
