That's not possible, you can get a hardware significsntly better and sell for the same price as ps4, since ps4 will have a high profit margin and a new console won't.

nintendo wont sell the console at a loss or almost non profit marge i guess.

Keep in mind the ps4 was like 390 bucks production costs at its release.

Thats just the hardware. Add marketing costs, manufature, guarantee and other services/support and your easily at something like 500 bucks/console.

A modern ps4 console (same power) would probl cost 250-300 bucks just hardware. Add the additional costs and youll be at 350-400 bucks, and thats for an almost non profit marge.

You realise Sony said they were making profit with PS4 console alone just few months after launch!?

Nintendo always made profit on hardware, Wii U is actually first Nintendo console on which they didnt made profit on launch, (they said they were making profit with console and just one sold game). Nintendo even made profit with GC when they were selling it for $100.

I really don't where you going with this, because at end only whats is important and what actually only affect on sale price is cost of hardware, not marketing or  guarantee costs.
