- When me and a friend decided to do a playthrough of FireRed on an emulator and, shortly upon starting the game, we were faced with this weird golden Rattata - we caught it just to be sure we didn't miss it, and we thought maybe the emulator was glitching and stuff. As we kept playing, other Rattata were all the regular purple, so we wondered what the hell happened. Well, 5 minutes later, we encounter a golden Spearow - again, we're in shock and decide to catch it. This time, we pause the game to look up on the internet what was that all about, and we find out about the whole shiny business and how the chances of finding one are 1 in 8192... and we got two in 5 minutes. That was insane. - My entire first playthrough of White - from thinking the game was going to suck before playing it, to absolutely loving it after beating it. It's a long story, but White was not only the game that brought me back into Pokémon, but also into Nintendo as a whole. I love that game. |
That really is insane!!! Damn after all this time I don't think I've ever seen a shiny in my games :'(
Also I agree with you about Black/White, I had low expectations for it too, but everything about it just blew me away. Personally I think Unova is the best region :p
