It's not just Miitomo that got delayed, but the other applications as well. I expect Nintendo to launch something new about every three months. Since Miitomo got delayed, the rest also got pushed back (so no game this fiscal year).

The 3DS is easily the biggest factor for the lowered forecasts, but the smartphone plans that got pushed back are certainly not a non-factor. Besides, it's not about what I think that Miitomo and others can contribute, it's about what Nintendo thought. It's hard to imagine that they believed that their smartphone operations would contribute virtually nothing, so the delay affected their forecast, yes.

Hmm yaknow, I forgot that Nintendo usually profits on their consoles, so lagging 3ds sales could be a major culprit as well. Do you have numbers showing how many units they're behind?

I seem to remember the dena delay announced before holiday last year so maybe the numbers from that was already built in? Or potentially costs went up as well... for not only dena but nx.
