I don't know where you got your 2D platformer is a better launch option argument from because TP on the Wii sold 7.2m a full 2.2m more then what NSMBU has sold in total, 2d platformers sell to the userbase already there they don't really bring in new people to the userbase. TP sold 500k on it's first day with the Wii for reference.

Wii sold better because of one thing that didn't happen with Wii U, it was handled better from launch, marketing, pricing, bundling etc... This speaks volumes when for 2 years people thought Wii U was an add on for the Wii and not a new console

Twilight princess sold 7mio copies on 100mio installed hw base = 7%attachment rate

NSMBU sold 5Mio ond 12 Mio installed hw base = 40%attachment rate.

You really cant be serious if your claiming TP was the better launch title lol. Just compare a 2d mario vs a zelda game on the same plattform.

Youtube views are great to compare general interest in a game. In your argumentation, sales are bad as well. 1 person could buy 20 copies of a game, where another person just buys 1. That argumentation doesnt make even a little bit sense.

Wii didn't have 100m people at launch did it, TP not only moved more hardware at launch then NSMBU it helped in giving the platform high momentum something that you can't argue here. 2D Mario is not a system seller and NSMBU has proven that, it's a game that sells to people already there.

Totally agree, all you wrote are facts, especially part about Wii and Wii U sales comparison, but JNK just keep denying those facts.
