I wasn't talking of GPU requirements, I was talking of the usual requirements each OS would require as a standard. YOu running a modern OS on much older builds is just you, not 100% of all ancient builds btw. Again those with crappy PC's can buy the game and run it on low, or be a smart person and upgrade their hardware to play it to how they want. I wish MS would bring their entire catalog to Steam as well as their Win10 store, I'd totally support those games if they were given mod support and weren't locked to just a single OS, they would get my money after day 1. |
I know what you were talking about. I'm a PC tech and I've repaired hundreds of PCs. Many old PCs can run WIndows 8/10 AND they run better than Vista/7.
Ya know... not all PCs (such as laptops) can be upgraded and many PC users don't want to upgrade their PC but still want to play games. Some of the most popular PC games have low requirements and I'm sure that's to make those games accessible on more PCs.
A low end gaming PC that can potentially run the original version of Gears may not be able to run Ultimate Edition at all, even at lowest settings. The requirements are so different. The minimum requirements of UE are much greater than the ideal for the original Gears.
