There are times where I'm indifferent with EA and then there are times I just dislike them for the shit they pull. This whole deal they have going with Nintendo means Nintendo needs to completely play submissively and just do what EA tells them to do, not exactly the best idea considering shit can go south so easily. I actually want to be that guy though that watches the planets and stars align, where Nintendo breaks their back for EA and does everything within their power, where they blow chunks upon chunks of cash to market someone's games who never gave a shit about them for years and then watch it all go South, then I can point to those folk who want EA to be the end all to be all to Nintendo and go "told you so".
I'll be blunt, I've seen Nintendo keep IP's alive much, much longer than EA while EA on the other hand has managed to fuck up quite the studios and franchises to a point where they have but a few action titles and the rest being sports (no RTS, no Sim City, no actual PC exclusives to market from their end). Even though Nintendo suck at advertising some games, I still trust them a lot more with an IP than I would the likes of EA, especially since one side keeps a show running while the other asks you to keep footing their bill while not 100% guaranteeing absolute results. I'd rather see EA actually put a bit more effort in from their end than simply giving the demands.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
