I think the only free content we could get is more character customizations and maybe maps. 

Maybe More support pokemons since they could be easier to make than a new fighter. 

The only actual weapon locked behind an amiibo in Hyrule Warriors is behind Link amiibo, and it's only one weapon.

And in Pokkén, amiibo only unlocks money/cosmetics that could be bought in the in-game shop. No content is locked behind an amiibo.
