^^^^ Insight, it would be dumb for Nintendo to abandon hardcore gaming,
it's a market - the point of Nintendo as a company is to make money, by nature it intends to make the most money, inevitably it will attempt to devour anything that is taking some of it's money.
*Pimp hand metaphor by malstrom* That means is Mr. Casual is by order your system of choice makes the most sales and your new Casual gaming becomes...

Bzzzt it's so annoying - When Wiifit is released it wont even have an effect on the PS3 or Xbox360 sales at all, both will continue to see increases and dips at points.
The Wii however will manage to meet hardware quota but be able to maintain it's supply with it's demand, until Fall season (E3), at that point is when Nintendo will directly offer something that can hurt PS360 sales.
So really what is there to question or defend!?
The point of playing games is to have fun - if your feeling you need to defend your system then wow - Bullies must be too busy playing Wii to snap these nerdragers into place.
