When 75% of core gamers prefer physical, I don't think so. You don't launch a product that only appeals to 25% of the consumer base.

Pretty sure your number is high. Its probably 50-60... PC gamers are a prime example of people that have moved on.

And even if it was that high, none of it matters when 99% of that "75%" would jump on digital if they had no other choice. Like I said, no Pokemon/Zelda/Mario/Metroid/etc mega-fan is just going to skip the next game in their favorite franchise because they can't buy a disk. Not only will they buy the NX and the game, the the experience will be so good, they'll be revisionist about ever being against digital only.

Msft tried digital only an ther was a revolt (warranted imo) -  Now that Nintendo is pushing in that directon, it is the best thing snce sliced bread- Digital only is terible for the consumer-   (as it relates to console gaming which is different than music, movies and even pc gaming, ESPECIALY if it is a Nintendo console)

No company tries to sell more stuff to the same people over and over again (and often nearly the same suff) than Nintendo-  I own all the disk in my home but i do not own all the digital downoads on my console-  I merely possess them temporarily at the whim of the console ower (Nintendo in my case) and possibly the software developer/publisher
