-Zelda is still very popular and Zelda still don't have competition. Witcher 3 and FF are not competition to Zelda. Witcher is more like Elder of Scroll game (Oblivion, Skyrim) than Zelda, and we having FF games from 80". Regardless graphics, Zelda U has very unique and beautiful graphics.
-Thats my point, Zelda TP was great launch title on Wii, same like Zelda U will be great launch title on NX.
-Yes, after initial bad reception of WW all that "we didn't want cartoon Zelda" forced Nintendo to make realistic Zelda that people wanted. But later after people actually played WW, WW become one of the most loved Zelda game and cartoon art style was accepted. You realise that WW sold 4.6 on 22m instal base while TP sold only 1.3m. Difference with Zelda U is that Zelda U has very positive reception from revile, over 90% people said "this looks beautiful" that wasn't case with WW, and Zelda U art style is far more mass appealing than WW. Also Zelda U is first HD, true open with biggest world ever Zelda game, so hype is huge. So yes, Zelda U will definatly move some NX consoles and definatly will be very strong launch title, people that dont own Wii U (and we know how small Wii U instal base is) will rather buy completly new Nintendo platform in order to play brand new Zelda game than basicly dead console.
-We cant know how much NX will actually sale, but pure fact is that on NX and Wii U will sell much better than on Wii U alone. You cant expect that TP would sell so much if stayed GC exclusive. Wii U owners will still have Zelda U, but people who dont own Wii U will not buy Wii U at end of life of console and when new console is on horizant just to play Zelda U, but they would buy brand new console with whole life in front on which they will play that new Zelda. Again you ignoring TP sales for GC and Wii, why people bought so many copies of TP on Wii that had price of $250 when GC had price of $100, you realise that TP on GC sold only 1.3m much worse than WW that sell 4.6m.
-Yes, Wii would be success even without TP because had strong and mass appealing gimmick, but point is that TP like launch title helped Wii to be so popular, Wii Sports was casual game but Zelda TP was core game, TP brought core games to Wii.
Again, with Zelda U port on NX Nintendo will have very strong launch title and they will sell several millions of copies of that game on NX alone. Only thing you can say is "Wii U will not have exclusive Zelda game", but nobody cares about that because that don't change anything, Wii U owners will still get game, fact that isnt exclusive dont change nothing esapicly in era where evre second game have some kind of a port or reamaster.
