If Nintendo were to port Zelda Wii U to the NX, this is not a waste of time as you claim. Why? Porting is not as difficult as you make it out to be. The reason why The Last of Us was difficult to port, is because the PS3 had difficult architecture to program for. Naughty Dog were used to programming for the PS3, and hell they absolutely nailed that system's specs. The PS4 on the other hand has much different architecture. It is easier to make games for, however, carrying over a PS3 title and adapting the code to function on the PS4 is a whole different matter. This is one of the reasons why the PS4 does not have backwards compatibility with PS3 titles.

Wii U uses PowerPC chip (Ps3s cell chip was PowerPC as well). Its not easy to develop for that chip (see multiple third party failures on wii u).

Ps4 uses x86 CPU. NX will probl also use that. I doubt they will stick to Power PC.

Nintendo EAD 3 dont have any expierence with x86 chips as well.

Nintendo is also pushing the wii u to its limits with Zelda Wii U. probl even more then last of us did.

And you calling it not the same situation?

As for Zelda being ported to the NX - what makes it a good idea? It will give the Zelda team experience with the NX hardware. They will be used to HD development at this point (theoretically), which should make the transition to the NX all the more easier. This will make further development on the platform more versatile as they will have had experience with programming and development on that platform.

Good point.

Not everyone who owned a Wii had Motion Plus controllers or the accessory for that matter.

So people are that interested in Zelda that they arnt getting a Wii Motion plus to play the latest game, but they will buy a completle new console releases mid cycle to play zelda? Seems logical.
