U only confirm what i said. U r easily offended. Ive been listening this stuff since the early 80's stuff. Im not really making heavy metal a religion or dogma. Im listening to it and i actually really like it. Steve vai is good. Not only do i listen heavy metal but the guitar is a great tool in other music genres as well.
U got indie games right? And how many of them r really great? Thats the point i wanna prove to u but u seem overly offended. The heavy metal genre is good and should be there. But there are plenty diarhea basement growl and screamers and punk rock basement fails that happen to be in the commercial market zone. I find it hard to believe that u like aaaaaaall metal.
Im not provoking u. Just making a point so that u hopefully understand me. Calling me ignorant could be felt as an insult but u know im cool with u. I really am. Just chill bro. I aint even mad
Its music. And its a choice of what u like wether it be bread with cheese or a cucumber. Live and let live. |
I never said anything against it as a choice, wtf are you on about? I don't care what people are listening to, when they are taking a dump or what clothing they are wearing. The point is: If you don't know anything about a subject and you are asking questions about it, you don't have to be stereotypical about it, like narrowing a entire genre based on what you, yourself have heard. If you don't like something, what is the point in asking questions about it in the first place. Also, I don't think me reacting on Linkin park not being metal as a bad thing, it's the fact that he considered it metal, which just adds more questions: If your favorable Metal bands aren't metal and you in general doesn't like metal, why are you even discussing it. That is my entire point
Steve vai isn't metal, he leans towards fusion and yes he is amazing. Joe satriani, Guthrie govan, Shawn layne, Yngwie malmsteen, Joe bonamassa, Paul gilbert etc etc. Guitars is a great tool in basically all form of music, but that is still not the point of this entire conversation at all, wether if guitars can be used elsewhere or not, that is pretty much a given since the days the guitar got invented as well as all of it's siblings.
I am not butt-hurt at all, why should i? It's internet and i am not about to start typing extremely rosy and dandy just so that people don't confuse me with being angry.

Out of these bands, the only band that occasionally screams are Pantera, and the list is far longer then this.
There are no reason to stereotype metal to screamo only and then go on about and say Metal singers sucks when the person barely know anything other then 3-4 bands or have watched parody videos on Metal or whatever.
It's ignorance plain and through. Britney spears can't fucking sing and she got famous on her looks but i don't go around and say all pop-singers from 2000+ does as well, then i would be ignorant. A person is good at what he does, he is skilled at what he do, no matter if one random dude out there in the world acknowedge that or not, if they don't think so? They are welcome to try themselves and see for themselves, wether it is drawing, gaming, card-games etc etc, just because a person doesn't like what they, still isn't considered a fact that what he hear sucks and can't be compared with other's, it only means that he doesn't like, it's not his cup of tea and that is the end to it, or at least he can come with a proper argument which isn't completely baseless and clueless.
A argument is a fight between who is right, a discussion is about what is right and only the minority of world bands screams, the end.
