Wii has the price advantage over the PS3. If PS3 and Wii were at same price of $250US PS3 would easily beat the Wii in console numbers. Wii at $250US compared to the PS3 $400-$500US. It is a huge advantage to the Wii.

You are so blinded by your fanboy wishes that it´s not healthy for you.

If they were in the same price range it would mean one of three things:

1. The Wii would have been more powerfull
or
2. The PS 3 would have been as powerful as the Wii or some what close to it.
or
3. Sony would loose a lot of money pricing the PS 3 in the Wii range with the power it has.

What ever you choose from theese three things they would still turn out to be in Nintendo´s favour. 1 and 2 would still give Nintendo the favour since it´s the motion technology that made Wii what it is today and 3 would have made Sony loose so much money more then the 200$ (not an exact number but an estimate) per unit they are loosing today and the shareholders would go nuts. What ever scenario you choose you are dooming your precious console and that makes you the ultimate fanboy who wishes so much for his favorite console that it would destroy it´s existance.

Regarding the OP: I think that he was right to some extent, the bubble did burst but it didn´t turn out the way he thought. The bubble bursted and insted of declining the Wii went on to new heights.
