So Don Mattrick represents all the passion in gaming at MS? This is why I say you have an anti Xbox agenda. You say crap like that and give no credit to people at MS that make notable games.

It seems like your idea of competing is money hatting Titanfall 2 and buying the marketing of CoD. You don't want to give them credit for making or funding good games I guess.

MS does spend a lot of money. They have a lot of games coming, I assume more games will be announced this year, we don't know what marketing deals they have planned with 3rd parties. It sounds like you aren't happy unless MS is wasting an endless stream of money.

Nintendo's success right now has more to do with the 3DS, not Wii U. By the way, you're very critical of MS not competing enough. But you boast about NIntendo even though they are barely relevant in the home console market. If NIntendo is doing so well right now financially, maybe you should criticize them for not buying Titfanfall exclusivity or CoD marketing. :-p

Microsoft never wanted to or cared about making great games and being in the console business. It was about stopping Sony. They said so themselves. It was always a trojan horse platform, set to exploit gamers on a course to owning the living room. That totally failed with Xbox One and now, I believe that they're switching gears and moving the platform into other areas where it can be successful. There's many reasons why I believe this but one of them is again, letting their biggest IP leave the platform. You just don't do that if you're interested in having a hardware platform. That's what software companies and third parties do.......

Well you say that didnt care about great games but their consoles have always been a place to find great games. But I guess that is just a coincidence.

Here is what Im trying to explain to you. MS the company spent billions of dollars getting into the console because they knew something big was happening there that wasnt just gaming. However, gaming is a crucial part of penetrating that market. So they sought for people and studios to bring them content. This is exactly the same thing Sony did when entering the console market.
Playstation and Xbox have frankly become what MS envisioned when entering the market, multimedia boxes. That happened because thats what the market wanted.
People are critical of MS for supporting Windows. But I feel Nintendo and Sony would do the same if they owned Windows. Millions of people play Nintendo and Playstation games on Windows. Maybe those companies should try to make money from Windows.
