Those that actually did a serious long term test were almost always surprised and very positive. New and different things get lower scores because they don't fit into the reviewer's world view. Everytime I read a review of a Wii game that in about the second paragraph has something like "the Wiimote worked but I preferred playing the game using the classic controller", I quit reading because he doesn't get it and he never will. To get really fair reviews on something new I guess we have to wait for new reviewers. |
Well I'm not sure about that. I mean for example, me I bought Mario Kart Wii and after trying out the "wii wheel" I switched to the classic controller. I find it much easier to use for MK, probably because my first (and still favorite) MK game is Super Mario Kart (SNES) and I put a lot of playing time into that game back in the day, so I'd much rather have an experience closer to that compared to using the wheel.

Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."
