Agreed. The best MS can hope for is a 'holding' strategy but I doubt that will work either. Just look at the amount of games coming to the PS4 console only in Feb and look how many are coming out in March. Monopolising the press is 50% of the battle won ... perhaps more.

I've said before that this generation reminds me a lot of the 5th generation.

PS4=PS1, the market leader in all regions and dominates globally, able to secure a lot of exclusive deals with 3rd parties.

XB1=N64, held its own initially in America with a strong Shooter/Sports/Racing audience but slowly started to lose momentum.

Wii U=Saturn, poor performance in all markets, majority of sales due to 1st party franchsies.
