Yup. It was truly an amazing expansion of the original already amazing concept.
More pokemon, still great designs all over, more gym battles, going back to Kanto after Johto, more legendary Pokemons, legendary can now be found as a random battle, simply amazing OST, lovely atmosphere, breeding, shiny, events based on the day/night and day/week system, it was just a blast.
Pokemon Crystal just never gets old to me, also.

Yeeah, Gen 2 just had so many great things about it. I feel pokemon games after gen 2 haven't reached the greatness it had. : ( I hope some day a pokemon game lets you go to different regions like Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, all of them if ever possible...
