Remember that even if that region isn't very rich Asia and Africa contributes around 2/3 of global population (it doesn't really matter whether we include Japan or not). As far as I remember Asian GDP (nominal) without Japan is equal to around 9 000 bilion dollars. That's not that far from American GDP (14 000 bln). Africa I think is at 1000 bilion. This aren't small numbers.
I don't think that it is as Montana said that PC-orineted market will buy X360. I think that this may be actually an disadvantage for 360 as most games can be played on PC, so no X360 is needed.
I think that X360 success may have more to do with piracy in those regions and avalibility of pirated software for 360. In most of African/Asian countries pirated software isn't considered any worse than legal.
