I watched them both myself, and it was good to hear about them. They were able to confirm that petting is still in the game, but just reserved for your married partner. So it's not a total loss for people hoping for that feature. The way it's set up makes sense to me. Either way, still excited for this game. Next Friday can't come soon enough...!
