I don't think so. A lot consoles get a big push from Japan because the holidays start in Japan in January. And January is still the first month after the holidays, so there is still a little boost for the consoles in this month (especially early in the month).

Nah, only PlayStation systems get a boost in Japan during January; Nintendo consoles usually shrink. And that's about it. But once major games start to drop, sales usually get a little better. I'm sure Feb/March/April will be even better for PS4/XB1/WiiU. Not sure about the 3DS.
