Late to the party, but I'm not the biggest fan of The Martian. It was a borefest. Watch some guy growing potatoes on Mars. Way too long, and way too boring. Though I enjoyed the humour. Prometheus is best, and I'm just not kidding xDD. And the ending was just non-sense. Well, it's just not my style I guess. I love sci-fi, but I think Ex-Machina is a way, way better movie and yet it isn't even a candidate for Oscars, so... Same with Interstellar last year. At least Gravity got some awards, it was stellar.
