Rarely anymore. Although, I bought "999" blind and ended up loving it, but that was years ago.
Kind of funny that when I was a kid, that's all I did was buy games blindly. I didn't read video game magazines and there was no internet, so if you picked a shitty game, you were stuck with it. But when you found an amazing game, it was pure, unadulterated joy.
Nowadays, I have to do research on EVERYTHING before I buy it, especially video games. It makes me more informed, but also makes the experience a bit bland or unspontaneous. As if I can't enjoy the game unless someone else tells me it's good first. It's like that with everything in my life now - movies, tv shows, video games, etc. I miss the simpler days. lol
Good thread, TC!
It'll be awhile before I figure out how to do one of these. :P
