Actually, you make a point I forgot to mention. I can appreciate Uncharted 1 because it was kinda ground breaking for that style of game. It took ideas from previous Tomb Raider titles (Legends and Anniversary included) and cover shooters like Gears of War, which basically lead to a more linear Tomb Raider with better gun play. That certainly inspired the Tomb Raider reboot, but Tomb Raider and ROTTR have frankly been more ambitious than any Uncharted game in gameplay. Hence, Uncharted 1 in my mind had great ideas but didn't but didn't live up to its potential.

In a nut shell you said you're happy with Uncharted being the same thing over and over again. If you're content with that, good on ya. I personally just hope Naughty Dog gives up more than your preference of lazy game design.

It isn't "lazy game design." Everything doesn't need to make the kind of changes you're looking for. And Tomb Raider, to me, isn't anymore ambiotious than Uncharted, simply because it does things differently than Uncharted (while also lacking in many of the areas it tries to mimic from Uncharted).

But, it's also clear to me that you'll continue to ignore the additions to the latest game in the series, which is why this discussion is going no where and should end.

If a game does the same thing over and over, I consider that both lazy and fear of taking risks. The four Uncharted games have just been too similar, which is why I'm hoping Uncharted 4 does something fresh.

Where does Tomb Raider lack where it tries to mimic Uncharted?

I don't have an opinion on Uncharted 4 yet. I'm hoping it feels like a fresh experience compared to the previous games. I feel like Tomb Raider took what Uncharted was doing to the next level, while Uncharted stayed deriviaive for its 4 releases. Sorry, I hope that changes with Uncharted 4.
