Listen, when NX is mentioned as one key area to contribute to "Nintendo-like profits" in the next fiscal year (April 2016 - March 2017), then an NX launch in 2016 is much more probable than a 2017 launch.

He was more talking about My Nintendo and smartphones and shifting development to the next platform. Saying the next platform will release this year is a huge leap from what is actually talked about.
