I don't like Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection so far...

Play the latter two Uncharted titles. Climbing is much more polished and refined.

Aye after the first game when you jump off a ledge he seems to magnetise himself to the nearest grabbable ledge, far less dropping and dying than in the first game, it still happens... just less often.
