Yep! Playstaion does really well in the beginning of the year, and I think even the first half of the year (Because Nintendo usually releases the big games at the second half). Actually this is the first January Sony HW has outsold Nintendo HW since the 3DS release I am pretty sure. Sony may take small months like April due to random releases but never big months. Dragon Quest Builders of course being the reason they took it this time.
