I think Miyamoto is hardheadedly trying to show that the tablet controller isn't a failed idea since I think he had a lot to do with the implimentation of the 2nd screen on the gamepad. At least that would explain why he's trying so hard to push for that 2nd screen stuff in Star Fox Zero even though many people who have tried the game out have complained about its awkwardness.
