Final Fantasy Explorers in the UK must of really exceeded expectations - Out of Stock everywhere

To answer your question - maybe. Or the number of copies are only a few.. Hence it was out of stock.

Weather the copies shipped were massive or low I'd class it as exceeding expectation if it sells through the initial shipment in a few days

I think they've already known that there would be shortage. That doesn't necessarily mean that the game is performing better than expected. Maybe it's, but maybe it's just another Devil's Third type of thing.
