Considering that Pokemon Yellow was actually called "Special Pikachu Edition," maybe I should consider the third iterations of each generation as special editions.
After all, I might as well take the most liberal rules which are still defendable, and then if people want to see what the list looks like other ways, all they have to do is subtract--not search the database.
I encourage others to type up top 10-20 lists with different sets of rules just to get them in the thread here. I can stick them in the second post up there.
