I agree.  Tropical Freeze seems more like a smaller project a studio would do in-between larger ones.  Sometimes I think that Retro decided to do the game because the guys in-charge couldn't come to a consensuss in time on what they wanted to do next after DKCR.

First time I hear this and it makes sense to me.
