If a role-playing game doesn't offer any benefits from avoiding combat, stealth will only purpose while hurting the party otherwise (due to the lack of experience gain). Of course if resources, such as health, are scarce, it can be a worthwhile tradeoff, but it doesn't seem to be too common these days. Overall sounds like a fun feature that's probably ultimately a bad strategy in the long run, which means I won't be using it personally (if I ever get the game, considering I still don't own an 8th gen console and am not planning to get one any time soon).
