Might not be able to do it specifically in the field but what about certain parts like the early trailers where they were avoiding Deadeye?

 

Pretty sure you could just warp around while running like StarFox would; jumping ahead and stuff.

You can warp to dodge on the ground, you can warp to vantage points up above (maybe to get treasure chests), you can warp-attack enemies etc
